Last updated: May 2026. This page explains how PythonSkillset, operated by Rohan C from Pune, Maharashtra, India, uses cookies and similar technologies.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. “Similar technologies” include local storage, session storage, and pixels used for measurement or advertising. They help the site remember settings, keep you logged in where applicable, and understand how the site is used.
How PythonSkillset uses them
- Strictly necessary: for example Django session or CSRF cookies where the app needs them for security and basic function.
- Preferences: storing choices like UI state where the site saves them in the browser.
- Analytics (if enabled): to see aggregate traffic patterns. Specific tools depend on what is configured at any time.
- Advertising (if enabled): for example Google AdSense or similar networks may set cookies to measure delivery, cap frequency, and show more relevant ads. Those vendors have their own policies.
Third parties
Content delivery networks, font hosts, embedded widgets, or ad networks loaded by the site may set their own cookies or read identifiers. I do not control those cookies. Use your browser settings or vendor opt-out tools where available. Our Privacy Policy describes personal data more broadly.
Consent banner
When you first visit, a cookie consent banner asks whether we may use non-essential cookies (analytics and advertising). Strictly necessary cookies (for example session and CSRF protection) always run because the site cannot function without them. Your choice is stored in your browser. You can reopen preferences from the footer link “Cookie settings” or, when configured, via our CookieYes consent manager.
Google Consent Mode
Where Google advertising or analytics tags are used, we load Google Consent Mode v2 defaults that deny non-essential storage until you accept. This helps respect your choice while still allowing limited, non-personalised ad delivery where applicable.
Managing cookies
You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may break parts of the site (for example staying signed in or submitting forms securely). Blocking ad cookies may reduce personalisation but the site should still largely work.
Changes
If I add new categories of cookies or materially change how they are used, I will update this page and, where the law requires, seek consent before setting non-essential cookies.
